CST STUDIO 2024 IMPORT — a915_moxon (MOXON 4-el quasi-Yagi, rear-tab SMA)

Easiest: Modeling > Import > 3D Files > STEP -> a915_moxon.step
  Solids: FR4 board 1.6 mm (windows/slits/drills cut), copper_top and
  copper_bot 0.035 mm at the two faces. Assign FR4 epsilon 4.3, tan_d 0.02
  @ 915 MHz; copper = annealed copper (or PEC). The 205 stitching vias are
  NOT in the STEP (the two copper layers carry the same antenna geometry and
  behave as one conductor); add a few modeled vias only if you need the
  layer-to-layer current path explicitly.

2D route: Modeling > Import > 2D Files > DXF -> a915_moxon.dxf
  Layers: BOARD (extrude 1.6 mm FR4), COPPER_TOP (extrude +0.035 at z=1.6),
  COPPER_BOT (extrude -0.035 at z=0), DRILL (SMA pin 1.2 / legs 1.4 / M3 3.0
  + 0.5 mm stitching vias), PORT (marker line).

PORT: 50-ohm discrete edge port ACROSS the 2 mm slot at the neck, from
  (84, 13) to (84, 15) on the top copper plane (z = 1.6) — the same
  abstraction the openEMS verdicts use (the reflector-shorted 58 mm slotline
  balun and the GCPW run to the SMA sit upstream of it). For a full
  connector-referenced sim, model a coax/SMA at pin (3.968, 8.002) instead
  (body on the BOTTOM face, legs on a 5.0 mm square).

Frequency 0.7–1.15 GHz. Reference PML_8 openEMS verdict at ship dims
(l_drv 106.2, l_refl 128, tips 12/19, gap C 19.5): S11 -21.8 dB @ 915
(Zin 58+2j), 9.30 dBi, F/B 15.7 dB (14.4/15.7/16.9 across 895/915/935).
